The Space: A unique cultural and wellbeing hub that is run by Stockport Race Equality Partnership

The Space is a unique cultural and wellbeing hub that is run by Stockport Race Equality Partnership.

This special space offers various activities for people from all walks of life, with a primary focus on promoting mental health and wellbeing.

The hub is a welcoming environment that is open to everyone and is designed to provide people with access to valuable resources and support services that they may not be able to access elsewhere. One of the key services that The Space offers is one-to-one counseling.


The aim of this service is to help people work through any issues or problems that they may be experiencing in their personal or professional lives.

The counselors at The Space offer a safe and confidential space for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings on a One to One basis with Refective Wellbeing being a key focus, and they work with clients to develop coping strategies and tools that will help them to manage their emotions and navigate through challenging situations. In addition to counseling, The Space also offers a range of reflective wellbeing services.

This includes meditation, mindfulness, and other relaxation techniques that are designed to help people reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and promote a sense of calm and balance in their day-to-day lives.


The wellbeing services at The Space are available to everyone, regardless of their age, gender, or cultural background.


Another important program that The Space runs is Men Talk Tall.

This program brings together men from all backgrounds to share their stories, experiences, and ideas. The group provides a safe and supportive space for men to talk about their mental health, and to provide support and encouragement to one another. The aim of Men Talk Tall is to help men feel more connected and to break down the stigma surrounding mental health.


There is also Immigration services available at The Space provided by KASIF SOLICTORS on the second Tuesday of every month.


The Space also runs the Boys to Men Breakfast Club, which is aimed at young boys. The program provides an opportunity for boys to learn valuable life skills and to connect with positive male role models.

The Boys to Men Breakfast Club is open to boys of all ages, and it is designed to help them develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. This is held on the 3rd Thursday of every month


Finally, The Space runs a Sewing Club every Tuesday morning between 10am and 12 noon that teaches young women of colour how to sew and create their own clothes and accessories while creating a safe space for them to share and resolve any issues affecting them. The aim of the Sewing Club is to provide a creative outlet for people and to teach them valuable skills that they can use in their everyday lives.


The Sewing Club is open to people of all ages and skill levels, and it is a great place to meet new people and make new friends. In conclusion, The Space is a one-of-a-kind cultural and wellbeing hub that provides valuable services and programs to people from all walks of life.


The hub is a safe and welcoming environment that promotes positive mental health and wellbeing, and it is a great place to connect with others and learn new skills.
